Job Summary:
The Ruby on Rails Developer will analyze and study complex system requirements. Design software tools and subsystems to support software reuse and domain analyses and manages their implementation. Manage software development and support using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, other accepted design techniques and Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools. Estimate software development costs and schedule. Review existing programs and assist in making refinements, reducing operating time, and improving current techniques.
Roles &Responsibilities:
Supervise software configuration management.
Candidate will support for several projects supporting several complex systems.
Role will provide software development and support for a wide variety of applications and includes supporting multiple projects and customers.
Candidate must be able to introduce services to the customer and articulate a holistic view of the specific resolution.
Required Qualifications:
BS/BA plus 1-year experience, or AA + four (4) yrs. related experience, or seven (7) yrs. related experience in lieu of degree
Minimum of 2 years experience developing Ruby on Rails
Minimum of 2 years experience developing JavaScript-driven Applications for business and technical applications.
Minimum 3 years working in a Linux OS.
Experience doing software development for web applications.
Must be open to learning and supporting a wide variety of technologies.
Experience working on large applications in a collaborative, team environment.
Experience using Agile development methodologies.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred candidate will have an active DOE Q or DOD TS Clearance, but candidate can start uncleared.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience doing software development with git, MySQL, Oracle DB, react, CSS, ticket tracking, Kanban.
Experience working in classified environments.
